Affiliations of the Eastern African Oracle User Group
The EAOUG is under the continental user group of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region known as the European Oracle User Group (EOUG). The EOUG serves as an umbrella organization for all national User Groups in the EMEA region. At present there are 38 national User Groups and a number of Special Interest Groups with together more than 14,000 customers. Most of the groups have their own national or regional events and newsletters.
The strong requirement from all these different groups is to have one EOUG event a year for the EMEA region to meet and collect information about:
- Best practice in using Oracle products
- Latest Oracle product developments
- Future product directions
- Oracle based solutions and applications
- Upgrading existing IT systems
In addition, this event is a marketplace for all Oracle partners and developers to meet and exchange information about their products and services, and to find cooperation partners.
Globally all Oracle users from EMEA region are represented in the International Oracle Users Council (IOUC) board, which consists of two members of each continental user group.
