eHorizon Credit Approval

eHorizon Credit Approval facilitates the disbursement of loans and credit from the bank to existing account holders (whose relationship with the bank exceeds six months).

eHorizon Credit Approval will automate the credit and loan approval system by using Oracle Workflow (email for notifications) and Oracle Collaboration Suite, such as Oracle Portal for the actual deployment and Oracle Files for online for document loading.

eHorizon Credit Approval is part of the eHorizon ERP, an integrated set of applications, which is designed to transform your business to a strategic force in today’s fast-moving corporate arena.

eHorizon Credit Approval Modules

1. Credit Approval Register
The Credit Officer will fill out customer information through a form on the web (deployed on Oracle Portal). Some of customer information will come from the banking system.

The Credit Approval Register also captures the following information:

  • Share Capital Details
  • Ownership Structure
  • Directors Details

2. Facility Details
The Credit Officer will also enter Facility such as facility type, amount tenor, purpose and security. The Facility type would be picked from a list of profiles that were defined by the user during the implementation or credit approval process.

3. Client History
The Credit Officer will enter the client's history details. eHorizon Credit Approval will capture details like origin and line of business. The client's history is linked with the main credit approval form.

4. Industry Details
Industry details form captures details about the client's industry and products.

5. Relationship Comments and Activity Report

  • A. Relationship Comments - Relationship Comments captures the details about the relationship with the bank. Details captured include relationship start date, account activity, previous facility and lending limit.
  • B. Activity Report - Part of the Activity Report will come from the banking system (including month, debits, credits, interest). The interface between the banking system and eHorizon Credit approval was developed with assistance from a number of well-respected banking system experts.

6. Deposit Placement
eHorizon Credit Approval captures deposit placement details such as call, term and domicile.

7. Commitment to Other Banks
This information will be provided by the Central Bank, and will have to be entered manually into the system. This will include details such as facility type, bank name, amount, maturity date, collateral pledges, and any other details the Central Bank provides.

8. Risk Analysis
The Risk Analyst will enter into the system how the risk has been divided (e.g. industry risk, competition risk, business risk or any other risk). eHorizon Credit Approval also captures the risk level.

9. Review Finances
eHorizon Credit Approval allows the user to review customer finances, whether it's for one month or five years. The system allows the user to generate financial statements that include profitability and efficiency ratios, to name a few.

10. Collateral
eHorizon Credit Approval allows the user to define securities and documents required for credit approval.

11. Repayment Plan
The Repayment Plan is a descriptive field where the user will enter the comments, repayment plans etc.

12. Profitability Analysis
The user can carry out the Profitability Analysis to work with predefined parameters or his/her own parameters.

13. Strengths and Weakness
eHorizon Credit Approval has the ability to capture a customer's strengths and weakness. This form will have four sections as strength, weakness, justification and any other details.

14. Comments
eHorizon Credit Approval can capture the comments prior to Credit Approval Form (CAF) approval. Once the comments are entered, the item will go to the next person in the workflow (Credit Analyst --> Group Head --> Risk Management --> Legal --> MD --> Central Bank)

15. LIM (Loan Instruction Memorandum) Register
After approval from the MD, the Credit Officer using certain data from the Credit Approval Form (CAF) prepares the LIM. The LIM register sub-module allows the user to select customer documents. The Credit Officer can make documents that s/he has selected available online. The various managers in the credit approval process can then upload these documents for review.

16. Profile Setup
Various master data definitions such as facility and document types are captured here.

17. Credit Approval Form (CAF) & Loan Instruction Memorandum (LIM) on Portal
A link will be provided to access eHorizon Credit Approval on the internet.

18. Workflow
Workflow is used for various notifications relating to the approval process from various departments.
