eHorizon Fleet - Vehicle

As the core module, the Vehicle module allows the user to build a vehicle database quickly and easily, as well as keep track of vehicle inventory (using make, model, department etc). The information such as day-to-day activities is updated from the other system modules - this not only provides necessary MIS for the organization, but also makes it easier for the user to take necessary corrective or preventive actions in maintaining the fleet. Moreover the system acts as a decision support system by providing timely information.

Standing Order: By displaying information about pending/completed actions, the user is able to make decisions timely and efficiently.

General Information: Vehicle information such as registration no. is held here.

Technical Details: Technical information such as fuel type and chassis no. is held here.

Purchase: Vehicle purchase information is kept here (e.g. hire purchase, one-time installment etc). The system allows for computerized control of hire purchase activity, by keeping the up-to-date information about the hire purchase and bill payment.

Contract: Contract is used when a vehicle is taken on contract from any party. Contract allows the user to keep various information about the contract vehicle, such as duration and/or mileage for which the contract is made and the duration of the payments etc.

Image: This module allows the user to maintain a vehicle image database.

Disposal: Once a vehicle is “disposed”, although further transactions relating to the vehicle are prevented, the data still contributes to the overall statistical reports and analysis. This allows the user to calculate the gain/loss associated with disposal.
